Leverage your Time

Daily Insight Video

I love Fridays! It is the day that I set aside to catch up on administration, write blog posts, and work on creative projects that are ongoing. I can’t believe that it is already Friday, but I am very happy about it. So happy Friday to all of you!

Today is one of those days where I really can’t believe how quickly time goes. Corporate words like time, systems, leverage, and assets have been floating through my head all morning, and I have started thinking about this digital age that we live in. We live in a time where you can replicate just about anything digitally, just like magic.

In this era of digital replication, we are able to give so much more of ourselves to people. Our work is reflective of this, and we are able to produce replications of books or blog posts that can be seen by hundreds, or thousands, of people at once.

One-on-one work is brilliant, and there is a lot of value in it. However, there is also a lot of value in putting something together that can help more people at the same time. In order to do this, you have to look at how you can leverage your time once, and have it replicate to multiple times in the future. This strategy is essential for being successful and doing meaningful work.

put in the effort

There is a balance point between working with individuals and that replication. Everyone has a different balance point, but the important thing is that you find your’s.

I have been working on doing this and trying to find my own balance point. When coaches send me questions during their training, I have been collecting them and writing up answers that I can use as bigger blog posts or articles instead of only answering them individually. This way, I only have to answer the question once, but it will be available for anyone who has the same question in the future.

I am not sure what to call this kind of thinking, but whatever it is, I know that it is helpful. Spending time on one thing that you can then share with lots of other people is the kind of work that is necessary in this day and age. This will improve those one-to-one interactions, and allow so many more people to benefit in the long run.
