The Sacred “Today List”

Daily Insight Video

Recently, I have been a little more productive than usual. I usually make a to-do list for the day, and if I’m lucky, it takes me a week to get it all done. It seems silly to think that I can get an entire week’s worth of tasks done in a day, but I always believe it is possible when I am making my list.

However, in the last couple of weeks, I have been on top of my to-do list. I have been putting everything I want to get done on my “today list” at the beginning of my day, and I have been accomplishing all of my tasks.

What I realized is that there is a difference between me as a decider and me as a doer. When I am more accountable as a doer, I am better at being a decider. Viewing my to-do list as something sacred and being held accountable for the tasks that I put on it, has helped me be more careful when deciding what to put on my life. I make better decisions about what to do, because I know that if I decide to do it, I will follow through.

This new sacred “today list” has helped me become more productive, and I am better able to follow through on the tasks that I need to get done. If you don’t have one, I invite you to create one now!
