Fear of Getting In Trouble is Silly

 In Blog

When I was a kid I was terrified of getting in trouble. Even now when I see the police car on the side of the road with a speed gun pointing out on the road, my heart races a bit. Why? I’m not speeding. But my initial reaction of getting in trouble is fear.

It’s the reason why I’m looking forward to what Pete Carroll has to say about getting fined today by the NFL for having too physical a practice. Last time it happened in 2012 he brushed it off with an awesome reason, “ So we’ve asked these guys to compete and bust their tails to get everything we can out of these days, and in their eyes we took it to a physical nature that was too high of a level of intensity.”

Carroll is the epitome of a life coach football coach. He has a reason and a method for getting the best out of his players and the best out of his practices.

I even think getting in trouble for being too intense in practice is actually a net positive.

It’s totally badass.

I wish I had a little more spunk in me growing up. But hey, why wait now?
