Invited to Speak at Dubai UAE

 In Blog

In less than two weeks, I’m about to hop on a plane to Dubai. It’s a 12 hour time difference. It is literally on the other side of the planet.
Five years ago, I remember when Rawan from Dubai contacted me and asked if I was interested in training her to be an Academic Life Coach.
I just searched her email. It was dated 1/2/09.

Dear John,

My name is Rawan and I’m a life coach based in Dubai. I read your post and loved learning about what you do. I truly believe that it is absolutely necessary to start coaching teenagers because they will grow up to be more fulfilled, mature and responsible adults. Did you follow any specific training that helped you to coach teenagers or did you just rely on your experience as a high school teacher?

Any suggestions you could give me would be extremely helpful.

Thank you!

Warm regards,
Rawan Albina

And thus launched one of the two first people I trained. I owe Rawan a huge debt of gratitude for helping launch the training aspect of my work.

Now five years later, it seems fitting that again it’s Dubai that launches the travel of my career.
